Prairie Animal Rescue Society is joining forces with Second Chance Animal Rescue Society. This will benefit us in a number of ways; greater exposure through a larger group leads to higher adoptions, meaning that pets will be in foster care for less time, and more space will be open to help other homeless pets.
What has become of our long term care dogs and cats??? Well of course they are still here. PARS and SCARS are developing a way to make sure they get the exposure they need and to keep everybody up to date on their activities, so if you can not find one of your feavorite PARS dogs or cats on the SCARS website yet, have no fear they are safe and sound waiting to make their debut.
Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS) operates under the same values that PARS' holds so important. They are a no-kill shelter that utilizes volunteer foster homes, they screen adopters to provide the best matches possible, and they have a follow-up program. They also, of course, adhere to a spay and neuter policy much the same as PARS operates with.
